How do I back up my Futura (Pro/Edge/Auto)
The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) is the name for each of a series of United States federal laws specifying the annual budget and expenditures of the U.S. Department of Defense. In August 2018, US Congress passed the John McCain National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which contained a section called Section 889: Prohibition on Certain Telecommunications and Video Surveillance Services or Equipment.
To continue its strong growth and recognition in the world CCTV market, Milesight produce a range of NDAA Compliant cameras and NVR’s, which do not use or deploy critical components including SoCs (System on Chips) produced by NDAA banned component vendors. These are recommended for enterprises and critical applications where compliance is essential.

Why do some depth and space cards display more spacings than required for key I am cutting?
A large quantity of locking systems utilize the same depth and space measurements, although not all require the same amount of actual cuts on the key. InstaCode when printing a card always displays the maximum number of spaces to suit the largest number that could be required, therefore saving you from having to carrying multiple cards for the same space and depth information.
If you are cutting a key with only four cuts and the card has seven spaces just ignore the other positions that are not utilized with the key you are cutting.
Why is Remote Frequency talked about so often?
The frequency of a remote control is critical to its working ability with a vehicle.
Vehicles such as the Holden Astra and Vectra range require a specific frequency range per vehicle.
The best way to test the frequency is by checking any existing keys with the AD35 remote frequency tester. Saying that, frequency band width alone is not a single sure way to determine if a remote can be programmed into a vehicle. The radio band is simply used to transmit data to and from the vehicle, which data is transmitted and the data composition is governed by other technologies. A perfect example is again the Holden Astra and Vectra which have identical frequencies and appearance, but can certainly not interchange.
Will there be any coloured heads available?

Wooden fixing (Lock Focus)
Lock Focus wooden fixing type W is suitable for timber panels with a round fixing hole.
It consists of a nut and pronged washer. The pronged washer bites into the timber when the nut is tightened. This prevents the lock from spinning in a round hole.
What resistance will the keypad have to wear or puncture? Can the keypad be punctured with a ballpoint pen or fingernail?
Special care should always be used when entering your code. The keypad is protected with a tough polypropylene material that makes a puncture unlikely, and impossible for dust and debris to interfere with the operation of the push-button keys.
The new plastic dome design is superior to metal domes and will continue to function even if the dome is damaged and collapsed. Our laboratory testing has surpassed 500,000 code input cycles with no failures using a pointed input tool, similar to a ballpoint pen.
Although wear was noticeable after this extensive testing, the lock remained operational. In actual operation, changing codes periodically will prevent noticeable keypad wear.
What Silca card should i use?
There are two cards for HON66 that use the same code series.
-
Silca card: 2354 - Shallower
-
Silca card: 1587 - Deeper
If unsure which to use, it is best to use the shallower Silca card 2354. If the key fails to open the lock you can cut it again using the deeper Silca card 1587.
What’s the difference between Video Doorbell 2 and Video Doorbell 3?
Both Video Doorbell 2 and Video Doorbell 3 send notifications to your phone, tablet, and PC when anyone presses your doorbell or triggers the built-in motion sensors. When you answer the notification, you can see, hear, and speak to visitors from anywhere.
Regarding main differences, Video Doorbell 3 has 2.4GHz and 5GHz dual-band wifi (vs 2.4GHz only on Video Doorbell 2) for enhanced connectivity and an additional “near” motion zone that provides motion detection in areas only 1.5 - 4.5 metres in front of your home (reducing irrelevant Motion Notifications further away).
Video Doorbell 3 also has improved screw strength, a redesigned easy-to-remove faceplate, and automatic chime connection which makes installing your video doorbell easier than ever.
When I enter my code and press the pound key I do not hear a clicking noise

What do the Astra lock product codes mean?
If the product code is 230-000 the first block depicts the series number. The second block shows the products features. In the case of 000 it means that the product has no cylinders, no escutcheons and no turnsnibs. Use the table below to determine the Astra products features.
The first number (of the second block) is how many cylinders.
0 = no cylinders
1 = one cylinder
2 = two cylinder
The second number (of the second block) is how many escutcheons.
0 = no escutcheons
1 = one escutcheon
2 = two escutcheons
The third number (of the second block) is how many turnsnibs.
0 = no turnsnib
1 = one turnsnib

What happens if carbon batteries are used rather than the recommended alkaline batteries?
Carbon batteries do not allow as much current draw as alkaline batteries, and even new carbon batteries will not retract the bolt sufficiently for frequent openings. So, be sure to use alkaline batteries, preferably Duracell brand.
What happens if someone takes my keypad. Can they determine my code(s):
The keypad is a “dumb” input terminal. Your codes and security information are stored in the lock body, inside the safe. No one can steal your codes by taking the keypad. To operate your lock, simply plug in a new keypad.
What happens if the batteries go dead? Are the codes lost? How long will the electronics remember the codes?
Codes will be retained in the locks electronic processor for up to 10 years, even if batteries are removed or go dead. Batteries are easily replaced by removing the keypad housing.
What happens to the lock when there is a bolt side pressure from the safe’s boltwork?
The boltwork of a safe, under certain conditions, can place excessive pressure on the side of any locks bolt. When this occurs, the locks bolt cannot retract properly. To relieve side pressure on the lock bolt, jiggle the safes handle. This action will remove the pressure on the locks bolt. Then re-enter a valid code to open the safe. No damage occurs to the lock under these circumstances.
What happens when the 6120 or 6123 lock is electronically attacked?
If attacked with low voltage, the lock is not affected. If high voltage is applied, the lock is designed to fail secure (the lock remains closed). Therefore, attempts to defeat the lock will be unsuccessful. After an attack with high voltages, some electrical components could be damaged and may require lock replacement.
What if the master code and user codes are forgotten?
S&aG recommends ordering locks with the management reset code (MRC) option. This allows the lock to be reset to the factory master code setting (1,2,3,4,5,6 #).
