Motor does not turn (FARO) Check condition of fuse in the foot control (rheostat). Disconnect the flexible shaft from the motor and try again. If the motor runs now, the trouble is with the flexible shaft of the hand piece. Check motor brushes for wear and change is necessary (See page 13 of FARO engravers instruction manual)
Motor rotates correctly but power is not transmitted to flexible shaft (FARO) Disconnect flexible shaft from motor and check condition of transmission gears between shaft and motor. If replacement appears necessary call for service.
