Configuring the remote:

To be compatible with a wider range of models the HU66R09 can be set in two different ways depending on the type of the original remote supplied with the vehicle.

Recognising the original remote type:

Type A has a single-piece key shell that cannot be separated and has the LED positioned at the top. (Fig.1).

Type B has a shell that can be split into 2 parts with the LED positioned half way up. (Fig.2).

How to change the configuration:

The HU66R09 remote is supplied in 'Type A' mode (Fig.1).

To change to type B (Fig.3):

1. Press buttons 1 and 2 together until the LED light goes out (around 3 seconds).
2. Release button 1 keeping button 2 pressed down.
3. Keeping button 2 pressed down, press and release button 1 three times.
4. Repeat the operations described above to reset the remote control in TYPE A mode (Fig.1).

The LED will flash once to indicate that the remote is configured as a TYPE B or twice if configured as a TYPE A.
